Electric, water, gas services
Electrical voltage and frequency
in Himeji: 100 V and 60 Hz
While electrical voltage is 100 V throughout Japan, frequency differs by region: 60 Hz in the Kansai region (e.g. Kobe and Himeji) and 50 Hz in the Kanto region (e.g. Tokyo). Before using any electric appliance, check its voltage and frequency requirements to see whether they can be used under the electrical conditions in your area. DO NOT use an appliance if its voltage and frequency spec are different from those required in your area, because it could cause accidents such as fire.
